Meet The Boys
ACE
Tweed's Playing For The High One RA TKNHe is an exceptionally talented and well-trained dog who has earned his Rally Advanced title and is currently training toward Rally Excellent. He is also extensively trained in hunt work and is on track to earn his WC, JHU, and JH titles while we search for the right family for him.
What we've come to realize is that a busy, highly social lifestyle simply isn't his happy place. He is deeply devoted to his people, loves his family, and does wonderfully with the girls in our pack. However, he is not comfortable in large social gatherings and does not enjoy the company of other male dogs. You could say he's an introvert—and there's absolutely nothing wrong with that.
His reserved nature is not the result of a lack of socialization or training. He has been well socialized, well trained, and given every opportunity to experience different environments. This is simply who he is. He is a more reserved, selective dog who prefers his people and his familiar surroundings, and we don't believe his personality is something that needs to be “fixed” or worked through. We are looking for a home that appreciates him for who he is rather than expecting him to become a different kind of dog.
He would thrive in a home that appreciates his loyal, affectionate nature and can provide a calm, predictable environment. We envision him being happiest with people who enjoy spending time with him rather than taking him everywhere. He has so much to offer the right home and deserves a family that understands and appreciates the dog he is.
Health & Training
He is neutered and has his OFA CHIC number (221176). His health clearances include good hips, normal elbows, normal eyes, and a normal heart cleared by both auscultation and echocardiogram. He is HCM clear, has full dentition, and has no known health or allergy issues.
He is crate trained, fully e-collar conditioned, and has been pet-trained through Rock'em Dog Training. He will go to his new home with two private training sessions with Rock'em, as well as lifetime support from both our family and Rock'em. He has a solid foundation of training and is ready for a family who will continue to build on everything he has learned.
And while he is a serious boy when it comes to his training, he absolutely knows how to be a beloved family dog. He loves being with his people and sleeps on our bed with us every night. He is the kind of dog who wants to be part of his family's life and close to his people.
This is not a decision we've made lightly. Our priority is finding the perfect match where he can continue to succeed, be loved, and live his very best life. We aren't looking for just any home—we are looking for his home.
